It is with great excitement that we can finally announce Mr. Mike Dechaine has joined our Northeast Mass APA Pool League Staff as our Leagues Development Director. Mike will be developing new divisions, teams and Customer support for our growing league. Mike is the 2011 Ultimate 10-Ball Champion and recently represented the USA on the US Mosconi Cup Team.
He brings a treasure of experiences in his professional career and is considered to be one of the top players in the world today. We feel lucky to have his addition to our staff. Please join us in welcoming Mike and wishing him well with his new role in our league.

Watch the television or listen to the radio for the latest weather announcements in your area and make your decision before leaving for an APA Pool Match! There will be NO FORFEITS due to 'no shows' because of inclement weather! If only one or two players from each team show up at the match site, yes - you can play those matches. You will be provided time to make up any / all unplayed matches!

In the APA, Everyone Can Play & Anyone Can Win!

You must be at least 18 years of age in order to be a member of the APA.  Some host locations in the Northeast MA APA Pool League do not allow anyone under the age of 21.  Members between the ages of 18 and 20 are not allowed to play in these locations – and teams should build a roster that supports being able to play in host locations without having to rely on underage players.

Join the APA!

While some membership cards require you to be able to jump the cue ball, bank it off three rails and sink the 8-Ball blindfolded, getting an APA Membership Card is much easier.

Having fun, meeting new people and playing pool is what the APA is all about.. You don't have to be a pool shark, because in the APA -- everyone can play and anyone can win. The APA wants beginners and novices, because it is the AMATEUR Poolplayers Association. No other organization in pool gives ordinary players a chance to win a share of nearly $1.5 MILLION guaranteed cash and prizes paid out through its national tournaments. 

How does the APA do it? It uses The Equalizer® handicap system to determine the amount of games a player has to win in order to capture the match. It allows a novice to win less games than a more-skilled opponent to win a match.
